It's about TIME!!!  I know you're thinkin' it!  Sometimes one just has to take care of priorities.  So today I will make up for it, starting with some cards featuring Penny Black dies and stamps.  I've used Distress Inks for all of the colors on these cards.

This first card uses the poppy stamp from the clear set called Blooming Garden. Although it's difficult to see the embossing on the black background, the same poppy image was stamped in Versamark ink and embossed with clear powder.

I used the matching poppy die, Field of Dreams, for the card below, and embossed the background image from the Twirls cling set in the same manner as the first card.

Here's another card using the wood mounted stamp called Promise Me.  I stamped the first image, and stamped it again above the original image without reinking it.  I filled in the background using a very wet watercolor brush dipped in the same colors as used on the stamp.

For the following card, I used Mustard Seed, Spun Sugar and Worn Lipstick Distress Inks.  I sponged the colors through the Flower Dance stencil, lightest color first and blending the others on top.  I then laid the Honeycomb Memory Box stencil over the card front and sponged Shabby Shutters Distress Ink through the stencil and around the flower image, splattered with Peeled Paint ink, added a vellum hollyhock stem on the side and then some gemstones.

The card below was made using Penny Black's Rose die, which I love, love, love.  There is so much you can do with this one.  The background at the bottom of the card uses a matching smaller rose from the clear set called Enjoy.  I inked the stamp with Versamark ink and embossed with clear powder.  I then lightly sponged Shabby Shutters Distress Ink over the embossed images to create the background, fading it softly onto the card front.  The music and the little bird are Memory Box dies.

Here's another card using the same rose die, which I gave to my mother for Mother's Day.

The last card for today is one made with the Penny Black Poppy Pattern (say that five times in a row!) background stamp.  To leave a space for the sentiment, I inked only some of the flowers with Spiced Marmalade, Fired Brick and Barn Door distress markers, and the leaves with Shabby Shutters and Forest Moss markers.  I then inked just one of the flowers and stem using the same colors, fussy cut it out, and added it to the card front using mounting tape.  I painted in the background with watered down Broken China and Shabby Shutters.  I used a black marker to color in the center of the mounted flower to make it stand out, and then added glitter to all of the flower centers.

I will be back in the next day or two with one or two more cards to share.  Hope you enjoy these! Have a wonderful Wednesday!
