IT'S ANOTHER PARTY WITH PENNY!

You’re invited to join in the fun as Penny Black celebrates the release of their newest collection of stamps and dies, Timeless. And what better way to party than a blog hop!

I hope you've been joying your blog hop journey so far! You should have arrived here from Julia's post: https://derkleineklecks.blogspot.com/  If you want to start the hop from the beginning, you can go to the Penny Black blog for a complete list of all of the blog hop participants.

This new release is nothing short of fabulous! There were so many beautiful and fun choices for today's hop, but I finally narrowed it down to a brushstroke stamp called Painter's Vase. Here is the link to that set: 40-672 Painter’s Vase

I started with a light gray top-folding card base, which I placed into my stamp positioning tool. I used a Versafine Ink marker to thoroughly ink up all of the blooms, then stamped it down. I re-inked mine again just to make sure. I removed the card, sprinkled white embossing powder onto the image and heat set it. I replaced the card exactly where I had set it previously, inked all of the stems with a dark gray Tombow marker, and stamped it onto the card.

I then inked up my favorite frond from the Floral Silhouette set (30-563 Floral Silhouette) with Versamark ink and stamped it where shown, sprinkled with white embossing powder and heat set that. I then very lightly sponged Hickory Smoke Distress Ink around the flowers for contrast. It doesn't show well in the picture, but I also added some clear glitter to the flower centers.

The sentiment I used is from the Sentiments clear set (30-544 Sentiments). It was inked with Versafine Onyx Black ink and stamped where shown.

To finish the card, I die cut the largest frame from the new Square Frames set (51-517 Square Frames) from white card stock and adhered it to the card front. All in all, this was a fairly quick and easy card to put together! And now for the good news:

And it wouldn’t be a party without a giveaway, right?  Penny Black is giving away a $50 shopping spree to the to FIVE lucky winners. Visit the Penny Black online store to see all of the wonderful new products! To enter, leave a comment on any blog hop post (this one included). I think light grey, or dark grey cardstock with white heat embossed images is so elegant. I thank you for the tip about taking a sleightly darker grey ink & shading around the flowers. It is subtle, but it does make a difference. So very pretty indeed. Thanks for taking part & giving someone a chance to win. Penny Black products are superb!
