A Pocket Full of Posies
Hi everyone! Here is a card featuring Memory Box die called Blooming Chrysanthemum.

Who knew you could create a pocket using a hexagon die from the Open Studio Layered Hexagon set of dies? Just snip off the stop angle, add some stitching with a white gel pen, and there you have it! This was a pretty simple card to assemble, and I hope it brightens your day!

Row of Poppies Thank You
Hello! Here is a summery kind of card featuring the Row of Poppies die from Memory Box. I hadn't used this
die yet, and I thought it was about time. It's so delicate when cut,
and it can easily be snipped apart to use on a smaller note card if
desired. I made this a thank you card, but this design could also be
used for just about any occasion.
I first cut a circle from the Stitched Circle Layers, and sponged on Peeled Paint through the Distressed Grid Stencil. I die cut the poppies from green card stock and again from white card stock. I sponged Scattered Straw Distress Ink on all of the white flowers, and added Spiced Marmalade to shade them. I then snipped off each of the sponged flowers and attached them to the corresponding flower on the green die cut. I then adhered these to the circle, snipping off the stems that hung over the bottom of the circle.
I thought it looked a bit boring when I laid it over a clean white card base, so I decided to splatter Forest Moss ink onto everything. Love that splattering! It still looked too plain to me, so I added two of the Grosgrain Ribbon die cuts to the background, then added the assembled circle to the card base using foam tape. I inked up the sentiments with Versafine Onyx Black ink and stamped the "Thank You" at the top. Uh-oh ... the rest of the sentiment was a little too long to stamp in a straight line at the bottom, so I decided to curve the saying to match the curve of the circle, and it fit just perfectly.
I added three of the butterflies from the Mini Butterflies set, along with a few gemstones to complete the card. So glad you stopped by! Have a wonderful rest of the week!

Many Thanks
I hope everyone had a very blessed Christmas! Can you believe 2014 is almost over?!!
We'll be ringing in the new year with a fabulous new release from Poppystamps and Memory Box which I'm very excited about! New designs will be posted on the Poppystamps Blog starting January 12th. In the meantime, here is a non-holiday card using the An Apple a Day die from Poppystamps.

My card base is a standard A2 size from
cream paper, on top of which I adhered a light green piece cut slightly
smaller. I cut the Massa Leaf Frame from
a darker green card stock and adhered it to a cream card stock measuring 4-5/8”
x 3-1/2”, so that the leaves would extend beyond the edges. I sponged some Peeled Paint Distress Ink onto
the leaves, and shaped them for dimension.
I cut the Nestled Bird from cream card stock and used Fired Brick Distress
Ink to sponge and shade it, adding a small dot for its eye. It’s amazing how that little dot brings the
bird to life.
I cut one set of apples from a peach
colored card stock and another set from the same green card stock as the
backdrop. I then shaded the peach
colored ones with Fired Brick, going darker on the right sides and fading it to
the left. I sponged Shabby Shutters Distress Ink on the green apples in the
same manner. I shaped the apples to give
them a slightly rounded look, and then adhered the leaves to the stems of the
apples, mounting them to the Massa Leaf frame as shown.
I tied a bow from lime green sheer
ribbon, added a small apple to the center, and then adhered that to the corner
as shown.
Here's another view of the card:
Hope you enjoy! Happy celebrating and here’s to a wonderful
2015!

Poinsettia Thank You
I
absolutely love the Small Blooming Poinsettia die and I’ve used it once
again … well really, six times again … on this Thank You card.

The Diamond background was cut using the same cardstock as the base card to give it an embossed look. I used a strip of ivory burlap behind the Lovely Tendril pieces, and arranged the gold and ivory poinsettias in a cascade fashion, then added a pearl to each of the centers. I also used a glitter pen on the ivory petals to give it a little shine. Hope you like this one!!
Here's more news: Poppystamps will be having a Holiday Tag Hop on Monday, December 2nd. Just click on the Poppystamps logo on the top right to begin!
